OTHER VOLUNTEER OPPORTUNITIES
St. Vrain Habitat has a busy office that is open 5 days a week. We always have projects that need the attention of people with computer or telephone skills. We are seeking volunteers that can contribute 2 or more hours per week.
The International Development Committee evaluates and selects the international Tithe Partnerships of Habitat for Humanity of the St. Vrain Valley. The group is also responsible for developing and promoting the work of Habitat’s International Ministry as well as working with Global Village trip participants. The committee meets bi-monthly for 2 hours per meeting.
APOSTLES BUILD TEAM
The Apostles Build Team fosters partnerships between Habitat and the local religious community. As Habitat's foundation is built upon a Christian mission, this team seeks to fulfill that mission by facilitating an increase In volunteerism and financial support from the religious community whose support is of vital importance to our organization.
FAMILY SELECTION COMMITTEE
The Family Selection Committee works to identify and qualify new Habitat homeowners. Members interview, screen and recommend potential homeowners to the Board of Directors. Individuals volunteering on this committee must be available to review applications and be comfortable interviewing people in the applicant's home. Spanish-speaking volunteers are helpful on this committee.
GLOBAL VILLAGE TRIPS
Habitat International is committed to building cross-cultural relationships through its Global Village Volunteer program.
The Goals and Vision for Habitat for Humanity of the St. Vrain Valley Global Village Trips are to demonstrate Faith in Action by supporting the work that God has already begun in each country. For more information on Global Village Trips click here.
The ReStore offers opportunities to volunteer as an individual or as a group six days a week (Monday-Saturday). This is a great volunteering alternative to working on the construction site or for individuals who want to interact with the community. There's always something new at the ReStore and our profits go to support Habitat's mission of building homes in partnership with families.
