I give Habitat for Humanity of the St. Vrain Valley, PO Box 333, Longmont, CO 80502-0333, the sum of $________ to be used in such a manner as the Board of Directors of Habitat for Humanity of the St. Vrain Valley shall, in its sole discretion, determine. 

Residue of Estate (after probate costs and other expenses): 
I give to Habitat for Humanity of the St. Vrain Valley, PO Box 333, Longmont, CO 80502-0333 __________ % of the rest and residue of my estate to be used in such a manner as the Board of Directors of Habitat for Humanity of the St. Vrain Valley shall, in its sole discretion, determine.

Gifts of Stock

Gifts of appreciated securities can be greatly beneficial for the donor. First, a tax deduction may be based on the full current value of the security at the time of the gift. Second, capital gains may be avoided. Electronic Transfer of Stock

This is the easiest way to give stock. It is transferred by wire from your account to Habitat for Humanity of the St. Vrain Valley’s account at Thrivent Financial.

Stock Certificates

1. DO NOT SIGN THE BACK OF THE CERTIFICATE
2. Stock power: All persons named on the certificate must sign their name as it appears on the stock certificate. The stock power must have a medallion guarantee of, which can be done by the donor’s bank or at a broker’s office. Do not fill out the form; Habitat for Humanity of the St. Vrain Valley’s broker will do this. A separate stock power is required for each certificate. 
3. Completely fill out the designation form entitled “Irrevocable Stock or Bond power” for each stock certificate. The form is available via John Lovell, Director of Development, jlovell@stvrainhabitat.org or 303-682-2485, x101
4. Mail the stock certificate (by certified mail) to John Lovell, Director of Development, Habitat for Humanity of the St. Vrain Valley, PO Box 333, Longmont, CO 80502-0333
5. In a second envelope, mail the stock power and deposit form to John Lovell, Director of Development, Habitat for Humanity of the St. Vrain Valley, P.O. Box 333, Longmont, CO, 80502-0333
