BOB WETTERGREN - BOARD PRESIDENT
Bob was formerly Co-Executive Director, and Director of Operations and Construction at Flatirons Habitat for Humanity. He also had a number of
management roles with AT&T/Lucent Bells Labs prior to his retirement.
Bob became interested in HFHSVV because the affiliate is very active in building well-constructed, attractive homes for low income families. This will provide opportunities to enhance the quality of their lives. He has been volunteering at the affiliate’s construction sites as a crew leader.
Bob has been a volunteer and staff member with Habitat since 2000. He led volunteer Habitat team builds in Durban, South Africa and served as a volunteer house leader with the Jimmy and Rosalind Carter – Habitat for Humanity Work Projects in Thailand, Haiti, and Dallas. Bob also planned, developed, and led a team that built a 150 member church building in Molweni, South Africa.
A fun fact from Bob's life is that he once cared for an elephant for a day in Thailand which included feeding, examining and smelling her dung, and giving her a bath in a river. He enjoys serving as a crew leader, traveling the California coast and hiking local front range mountain trails.
ABBY RENNER - BOARD TREASURER
Abby is a Managing Broker/Realtor at Remax Nexus.
She has been involved with Habitat for more than eight years and loves seeing families change and grow through having a decent, affordable, and safe place to live.
A fun fact about Abby is that she has four pygmy fainting goats! She loves to be outdoors and frequently goes camping in a teepee.
GEORGE HEATH - BOARD MEMBER
George is a native of San Francisco, CA. He earned his B.S. Degree at Howard Payne College in Brownwood, Texas. He also holds a Doctorate of Ministry degree from Luther Rice Seminary in Florida.
George chaired the Dallas Social Workers Network in 1980 and directed the Senior Adult Outreach Program for the Dallas Baptist Association 1978-1987. In 1980-85 he served as Director of College Student Work Program.
George and his wife have a blended family of 7 grown children and 11 grandchildren. They lived in Longmont until 1998 then moved to Firestone.
George became a vendor for Pacific Coast Merchandising, servicing Home Depot and Lowe’s in the area. In 2001 he accepted a position as Regional Manager of 14 employees in 9 states. In 2003 he was hired to assist in opening The Great Indoors in Broomfield, CO. In 2008 hr retired from working, but not from living.
In 2011 George was appointed to the Firestone Planning & Zoning Commission and was elected to Town Board of Trustees in 2012. He serves as Firestone's Representative to DRCOG, and is a founding member of The Carbon Valley Help
In 2013, George was appointed to the Weld/Greeley Housing Authority.
DREW DEPLER - BOARD MEMBER
Drew is the current Global Outreach Pastor at LifeBridge Christian Church. He decided to join the Board of Directors because he believes in Habitat's mission and model. Also, in his current role as Pastor he sees development projects around the world and noted the extreme impact of the work Habitat is doing.
Drew serves locally and nationally on several boards and committees. His favorite activities are spending time with his family and enjoying the great Colorado outdoors.
ALISA JEFFERY - BOARD MEMBER
Alisa is the Manager of Project Operations for Global Healthcare Exchange. She brings 20 years of professional experience in national and international project management across multiple industries including technology, automotive and the Olympics. Alisa has served as a board member and committee chair for several organizations including Rotary and the Presbyterian Church, USA. Her passion is international travel having visited 40 countries so far.
RYAN MOHRMANN - BOARD MEMBER
DEANNA DYER - BOARD VICE PRESIDENT
Deanna works as a Real Estate Broker Associate at Dyer Realty, Inc.
She decided to join Habitat's Board of Directors because she admires the work the organization does in the community and its accomplishments over the years. She also appreciated the philosophy of giving someone a hand up, rather than a hand out.
Deanna grew up in Longmont and attended CU Boulder where she played the french horn in the marching band there. In her spare time she has also been active in the Lions Club, the Longmont Association of Realtors and the City of Longmont Affordable Housing Task Force. For fun Deanna enjoys hiking with her dog.
THERESA PICKNER - BOARD SECRETARY
Theresa has operated her own law practice in Colorado since 1989. She practices primarily in the areas of Business, Taxation and Estate Planning.
Her educational background includes a Bachelors of Business Administration with a major in accounting, a Law Degree and a Masters of Laws in Taxation
from the University of Denver.
Theresa has over 600 clients and has been teaching business law classes since 1996. She has published with Author Ira Nottingson The Small Business Legal Tool Kit, published by Entrepreneur Press.
Ms. Pickner has been a volunteer with the Small Business Development Center for over 15 years. She sat on the Board of Directors of the Boulder Chamber of Commerce from 2003-2005 and was awarded the Member of Distinction (2006) and Volunteer of the Year (1999).
JEFF KING- BOARD MEMBER
Jeff King began his career with FirstBank in 1994 and currently serves as Senior Vice President for the Longmont Market. He has extensive experience in residential and commercial real estate, construction, SBA and small business lending. Jeff also serves as Senior Vice President for 1031 Corporation Exchange Professionals, a subsidiary of FirstBank. In this capacity since 2010, he has been involved in all facets of 1031 Corporation, with primary responsibility for corporate strategy, business development and personnel management.
Jeff earned his Bachelor’s degree in Finance from Metropolitan State College of Denver in 1994, and graduated from the University of Wisconsin’s Graduate School of Banking in 2005
Along with being a board member, Jeff also chairs HFHSVV's Audit Committee.
CRAIG ELLSWORTH - BOARD MEMBER
Craig lives in Estes Park and is excited to be an advocate for Habitat's role in providing affordable workforce housing in that community and the St. Vrain Valley. In his business life, Craig was a program Manager for both Apple and Hewlett-Packard in California, Texas and Idaho.
Craig has volunteered building homes with a variety of Habitat affiliates in the US, Nepal and Portugal. Upon moving to Colorado he decided that he wants to get more deeply involved with Habitat's mission.
DAVE MCCARTY - BOARD MEMBER
Dr. McCarty was born and raised in Longmont. He was in the first class to graduate from the new Longmont High School and attended the University of Colorado before medical school in Des Moines Iowa. He is married to Ila and they have two grown children and four grandchildren, all living in the Longmont area. After retiring from the Longmont Clinic, Dave volunteers at Hopelight Clinic seeing Internal Medicine patients. He stays active enjoying golfing, swimming, traveling, and sporting and school activities with the grandchildren.
CHUCK BAILEY - BOARD MEMBER
Chuck is a self employed, multi-housing developer working through his residential development, consulting, and operations entity called Catamount Properties, Ltd. Catamount has developed a variety of housing for rent and for sale in communities along the front range and in Winter Park, Colorado. Chuck joined the Habitat Board to assist in the development of affordable housing.
Chuck has lived in Colorado for over 55 years and attended both the University of Colorado in Boulder and Western State College in Gunnison, CO. He enjoys outdoor activities such as mountain climbing, hiking, biking, and camping.
